Civilisations and the Mediterranean

A journey through time, space, and the history of the civilisations that have intertwined in that Mare Nostrum that appears to be a primordial matrix, a permeable place of cultures, arts and knowledge. A collection of over five hundred and fifty artefacts from the Neolithic Age to Late Antiquity is the focus of Le Civiltà e il Mediterraneo, the catalogue accompanying the international exhibition presented in Cagliari at the Archaeological Museum and Palazzo di Città. An invitation to discover the centrality of Sardinia within the millenary routes and exchange routes through which ideas, cultural models, techniques and artefacts spread along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
