Published on the occasion of the extraordinary exhibition at Palazzo Reale, the volume features over two hundred works, including paintings, drawings, iconic garments, photographs, and archival documents, which illustrate not only the intertwining of Dalí’s artistic practice with fashion, but also his creative and personal relationship with some of the most significant figures in this world: from his personal friendships with Elsa Schiaparelli and Gabrielle Chanel to the projects developed with Christian Dior and Paco Rabanne. These works highlight Dalí’s contribution to redefining the languages of visual communication, performance, and the imagery of contemporary fashion – a creative legacy that continues to serve as a point of reference for the creative directors of leading international fashion houses.
