Khalif Tahir Thompson

Khalif Tahir Thompson is a young African-American painter who graduated from the Yale School of arts, showing astounding skills in portraits painting. His works combine oil and acrylic paints, beads, fabrics, velvet, newspaper or leather to create colourful, shimmering, patchwork-like environments in which Black figures, sometimes asleep, are depicted, reflecting the painter’s meticulous study of human character and his ability to convey the depth and psychological individuality of his subjects.
