One of the most important artists on the contemporary Italian scene, Remo Salvadori (Cerreto Guidi, 1947) has been pursuing a line of research since the 1970s that, based on the interaction between elements such as water, colour and metals, proposes a renewed formulation of the work defined by alchemical mutations and flows of knowledge, capable of offering the observer a new awareness of the self and the world. The monographic volume produced by Studio Celant and curated by Antonella Soldaini (the first to have this approach within the artist's bibliography) traces Salvadori's life and work from 1947 to 2024 in a detailed and in-depth manner through a rich chronology, the result of two years of research in the artist's archive. The publication is accompanied by over 600 images, many of which are unpublished, of solo and group exhibitions, works, events and documents, and is introduced by four essays by Antonella Soldaini, Davide Bondì, Filippo Bosco and Sharon Hecker, which, through different perspectives, contribute to broadening the critical reading of the artist's work.
