Shay Frisch. Halo

Combining the sacred with the secular, Frisch's installations show light as a visible manifestation of electricity, while engaging with energy as a metaphor for infinite possibility. Using circuits, electrical components and industrial materials, Rome-based artist Shay Frisch (born 1963) arranges these elements into geometric forms that emit light, transforming inert objects into dynamic fields of energy. Halo reimagines the traditional notion of the religiously charged shape for a contemporary audience.
