Atelier Picasso

Michele Sapone is Picasso's tailor. He sews fabrics like painters paint canvases and wears "life like a tailor-made suit". Born in a small village near Caserta, he moved to Turin and then to Nice, where he discovered a fascinating world, becoming friends with Picasso, Giacometti and Hartung. With them he shares his love for life and painting, exchanging tailor-made clothes for works. His legacy will be taken up by his daughter Aika, who grew up together with these great masters, for whom he opened an art gallery that would also become a home for them.
