Is it safe to pay with a credit card?

Payments are processed directly by the platform of the selected payment network operator.

Our operators are not authorized to ask for or accept credit card information at any time.

Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept the main credit cards (not American Express).

Must I register to make a purchase?

Yes, you must register. We advise you to create your own personal account to have access to the exclusive benefits reserved for our registered users. By giving your consent, you will receive our newsletter that will keep you up to date with exhibitions and events.

Deliveries and returns

Can I request a gift packaging?

We are working to improve our services but at the moment this is not possible.

How can I get in touch with your customer service?

Do I have to pay to return my order?

No. Skira editore S.p.A. will get in touch to make arrangements for the collection of the order to be returned.

How many days do I have to return an item?

Products must be returned within 14 days of the date of receipt.

I haven’t received my order yet, what should I do?

You can reach out at our Customer Service at service@skira-arte.com. Don’t forget to include your Order Number in the email, so that we can help you to track your order down.

What duties and taxes will I have to pay?

For orders shipped out of the European Union, taxes and duties will be calculated according to the value of your order and to the current regulations of the Country.

You will receive a request for payment of duties by the competent Customs Office. Skira Editore S.p.A. is not responsible for the costs for the importation of goods.

Which courier services do you use for shipments?

TWS that may, if necessary, entrust the goods to SDA for Italy/Europe, and DHL for intercontinental shipments.

To which countries do you ship books?

We make worldwide shipments in compliance with the country’s conditions for entrance and exit of goods.

What should I do if a product is not available?

If an item you are interested in is not available for purchase or pre-order, you can contact service@skira-arte.com.

What does "pre-order" mean?

Pre-ordered items are products that can be purchased in advance. Estimated time frames are indicated on the product sheet and may take several weeks, potentially arriving earlier or later than expected. You may cancel your pre-order at any time if it has not been dispatched.

Pre-ordered items cannot be gift-wrapped.

How do I know if a product is available?

On our site, each product has a label: Available, Pre-order, Coming soon, Out of catalogue.

Products

What languages are Skira books published in?

Skira is an international art publisher that publishes in all languages, in particular English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Japanese and Korean. For each title, we evaluate the language(s) in which it will be published.

Where are the books printed and the objects made?

Skira books are mainly printed in Italy and Belgium. Skira objects are imagined and designed between Milan and Paris and are mainly manufactured in Italy. Occasionally, in order to limit the ecological impact of transport or to benefit from a particular manufacturing technique, we work with European or Asian suppliers.

Where can I find Skira products?

Our books and objects are available on our website and in our boutiques. You can also find selections of our products in our museum bookshops and in our network of booksellers and concept stores in over 80 countries.

How do I care for my Skira books?

Our books are delicate objects handcrafted with silks, cottons, linens, papers and other precious materials. We advise you to follow these care instructions to preserve them for future generations:

- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high temperatures and humidity.

- Avoid direct exposure to water, oils and other liquids.

- Store your books upright with adequate room to breathe.

- Regular maintenance - As dust accumulation can lead to the formation of mold, we recommend that you regularly dust the book with a soft brush, away from the shelf, to preserve the pages and spine.

Do you sell directly to professionals?

We evaluate each request individually, depending on your geographical location and your activity (corporate gifting, hotel, wholesaler, etc.). Please contact service@skira-arte.com.

Please write to service@skira-arte.com specifying the name of your hotel and its location. The Trade department will contact you directly to suggest the most appropriate titles, objects and logistics.

I would like to know about Skira's catalogue for corporate gifts. Who do I contact?

Please write to service@skira-arte.com specifying the name of your company and the number of gifts to be made. The Corporate Gifting department will contact you directly to suggest the most suitable titles and objects as well as all the personalisation methods we have available.

I would like to work with Skira on a boutique project. What do I need to do?
